Marketing and Media Services
After working for Redwood Community Action Agency (RCCA) as an AmeriCorps
VISTA, I developed the position of Media Services Specialist within the agency.
Given the task of branding the agency, I developed a 300+ page
interactive website, (rcaa.org) a social media presence on facebook and youtube,
produced over 15 PSA’s, and multiple radio and print announcements. I continue to write,
shoot and edit promotional videos, write press releases, manage and create content for
social media and newsletters, promoting the agency’s programs, accomplishments and
public image. I am responsible for generating analytical data tracking for the website and
social media and presenting it to senior staff and the Board of Directors. I created an
internal protocol for all agency communications going to the public and a newsletter for
internal use.

Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) Straight-Up Program
Marketing and Event Coordinator
I created a brand identity for RCAA by documenting the development of the Agency
from it’s origination to the present. Produced a documentary about the Agency and how
their programs solve the issues of poverty. I conducted 13 interviews with the directors
that aired on the local television stations. I developed a timeline, documenting the
development and accomplishments of the organization over a 30 year period in an
exhibit. I was responsible for coordinating a large scale event, celebrating the 30th
anniversary of RCAA.

American Forces Network (AFN), Riverside, CA

Broadcast Designer
Created brand identity of a concept channel for the AFN network, targeted for the
younger military personnel. I created graphic promotional elements from ABC, CBS,
NBC, MTV, FOX, WB, ESPN, movies and shows and repackaged them with the AFN
brand of 7 different channels.

Conceptualize, design and produce graphic packages for promotion of 13 channels on the
Starz network. Art Directed live film shoots, developing shot sheets and storyboards.
Emphasis on collaboration with producers and other designers to create original, cutting edge
designs. I implemented the first state-of-the art, Macintosh workstation. Responsible
for training one artist and researching technical support.

Provided graphic support for noon and evening newscasts, creating station ids and news
promotions. Supervised two designers and trained two interns. I held the position of
freelance designer with WTVJ in Miami and senior designer at WPTV in West Palm
Beach simultaneously for 3 months.

Provided graphic support for noon and evening newscasts. Worked closely with
producers and reporters on news stories, promotions and independent productions. We
began using the Macintosh computers for on-air animations, winning 2 gold BDA-Promax
awards.

My primary function was to provide storyboards, props, and on-air designs for the
production of instructional and informational videos for the Broward County schools. I
designed and built the Homework Hotline set and made several puppets to host a weekly
reading show for grade school students.

news promotions, on air sets and supervised three designers and two interns. I
implemented a new position of News Liaison for the station. Assisted with a total
station identification redesign during an affiliation switch.

one designer. I was a courtroom illustrator for high profile Federal cases in West Palm
Beach.

Television Artist
Using fine arts methods, pen and ink, airbrush, markers and paint, I created camera cards
for on-air graphic support for news production. I created promotional print material for
magazine and newspaper publications. When the station received a Quantel Paintbox for
beta testing I learned how to use it and became one of the first Paintbox artists in the
United States.
